Research themes

REPARTI Scientific Program

The REPARTI strategic network’s scientific program is structured around two main
research thrusts:

Theme_1b_2.jpg

Capture, Processing, and Interpretation of Physical Information (Visual,
Multi-Sensory)

Lead

Jean-François Lalonde, Université Laval

(i) Computer Vision, (ii) Image Processing, (iii) Pattern Recognition in the Context of
Cyber-Physical Systems, (iv) Optimization, Simulation, and High-Performance
Computing, (v) Computer Graphics.

Theme_2_2.jpg

Physical Devices, primarily Robotic or Haptic, capable of acting on
physical environments completely autonomously or in collaboration with human
users

Lead

Benoit Boulet, McGill University

(i) Robotics, (ii) Human-Robot Physical Collaboration, (iii) Control, (iv) Human-Computer
Interfaces.

This work is carried out in several laboratories of the participating institutions, often using
complementary research approaches.
